If you’re looking for ways to expand the use and space of your tiny RV bathroom, then look no further! As a mom with two young boys and a husband living in our 36 foot travel trailer, I’ve had to get creative with our space!

To better organize your tiny RV bathroom and make it your own, my absolute first suggestion is to take advantage of that vertical space. Heavy duty command strips and hooks will also be your best friends!

Over the years I’ve certainly learned a few things on how to create a functional and nice to look at space in our RV’s. I didn’t think I had that many bathroom products and skincare products but moving all of our stuff into a tiny RV bathroom made me re-evaluate! I had to toss a few things that I really never used and find a way to create space all while still being able to find the things we need.

Our tiny bathroom has literally no counter space because the sink takes up the majority of it so to give myself some more room to work with while applying makeup and doing my hair, I purchased one of these sink toppers. It worked out perfectly for our round sink! Now I have more counter space for activities.

Add your own style to your bathroom

It can be intimidating trying to decorate such a small space out of fear of taking up that space! I’ve found that you can still decorate your tiny RV bathroom to better reflect your style without compromising storage space. Above our sink is a medicine cabinet with a mirror and a nice shelf space on top, so I dedicated that space to add a few cute bathroom signs. For Christmas, I added some warm white Christmas lights around the cabinet and I liked it so much that I left them up for good!

If you’re really up for the challenge, you can always paint your RV bathroom cabinets and even replace the floor to something better suited for your style. My plan is to eventually paint the cabinets, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Switching out the cabinet pulls is also a very easy and cheap way to change the overall vibe of your bathroom and it doesn’t take up any space!

Our shower has two sliding glass doors, and I’ve tossed around the idea of taking them out and replacing them with a simpler shower curtain which is another thing that you can personalize. I’m not a huge fan of how quickly the tracks for the glass doors get nasty and wet so I’m thinking we will take them out at some point. Using command strips and hooks to hang up personal photos or cute art work is a wonderful and simple way to improve your bathroom aesthetic too.

One project on my to do list is to add some peel and stick wallpaper to our bathroom walls. What a welcoming change it can make!!! This is the one I plan on using, but there are sooo many options out there!

Change out the stock shower head

Seriously, do yourself a favor and just replace the shower head that came with your RV shower! There are much better, much stronger ones out there that will give you a better shower experience. Showering in a small space is tricky enough, you don’t want to have low water pressure too. We replaced our RV shower head with this one and we added this extra filter too! It was super easy to replace, well, easy for my husband at least! I like this shower head because it has a water stop feature, which comes in handy when you’re trying to save the hot water!

I purchased the black one because it goes with my black and white theme but there are other color options to better suit your style! It’s been super easy to purchase replacement filters as well.

Speaking of showers, lets talk about shower space

Sheesh I’ve seen some full sized showers in RV bathrooms but they’re generally pretty small so knowing how to navigate that can be a challenge. Depending on the material of your shower walls, I totally recommend these adhesive shower caddies! They’re what we have in our RV and they stick so well and hold quite a bit of weight. My suggestion is to put them up high so you’re not constantly bumping into them while you’re trying to wash up. If these don’t quite work for your space, you can try this hack where you hang a shower curtain or tension rod across the back side of your shower and hang mesh shower caddies off of it with hooks. You could also use plastic baskets with holes drilled in the bottom for drainage, which is what we did in our fifth wheel shower and it worked perfectly fine.

What about towels?!

We have this towel rack hanging on the wall in our RV bathroom, my husband drilled it into the wall to ensure it wasn’t coming down and as much as we try not to drill holes, sometimes it’s best to bite the bullet and do it anyways. It holds 6 towels, and it’s using vertical space so win-win! We moved the towel rack into the RV bathroom from our house bathroom, otherwise I would get one like this with a shelf and hooks at the bottom. I use these black adhesive hooks to hang our used towels, the boys towels hang in the bathroom and my husband and my towels hang on the wall right outside our bathroom.

Even in a small space, you can still make it your own with the right inspiration, products and a vision of what you want! Taking on the challenge of creating a functional and beautiful space can result in satisfying results. If you’re looking for some RV kitchen organization ideas, head over to this post!
